Just get each pin clean and call it good, you can lightly scrape, but don't scrape the silver finish off down to the copper. I would try to keep cleaning it with Acetone(nail polish remover) or alcohol and I would smear the wax BETWEEN the pins back up onto them. You need to clean EVERY pin to make sure, and when you get each pin clean, leave it alone. I'm betting you didn't get the contacts on the PCM clean enough. What are the positions on the chip? Did you try to start it in other positions? i turned the key to see what happens, the starter turns over but no ignition. i turned the key on, the truck ran its diagnostics, but then the glow plug light never went off, and i can usually hear it and i cant hear a thing now. i put the setting in the far most left setting, thinking that would be the stock setting. i took the keys out, disconnected the batteries just to be safe, (i accidently touched the negative cable to the positive lead on the battery on the driver side battery, does that matter) then cleaned the leads on the pcm, then installed the chip. I got my 4 switch chip today for dptuner. and i really need to get my truck started in the next hour so i can go to work. So i cant call jodi cuz its 8pm on the east coast.
